FAQs

Please reach us at camc@arrivehydrationandwellness if you cannot find an answer to your question.

 WHAT IS AN IV?

IV is short for intravenous (in the vein). We provide hydration(fluids) & nutrients by using a small catheter that’s placed directly into your vein. This allows us to hydrate you more effectively and efficiently than if you were to drink water. Yes, there is a small poke with a small needle, but once the vein is accessed, the needle comes out and the plastic catheter is left in its place, then removed completely once finished.

 WHAT IS IV
THERAPY?

IV therapy is a method to quickly administer fluids, vitamins and minerals directly into the bloodstream. By going directly into the bloodstream, your body can absorb 100% of the vitamins; taken orally vitamins experience about 20% absorption (use) due to the digestive tract. Though, Our services are meant to act as supplements, not to replace oral hydration.

 IS IV THERAPY
SAFE?

All of our ingredients are FDA approved and go through high levels of testing. All IVs are administered by an experienced registered nurse or nurse practitioner and performed under a medical director. Before a client receives IV therapy, their health history is evaluated.

Side effects from an IV drip are generally non-existent or very mild. On occasion, you may experience some discomfort, bruising, itching, inflammation, or redness at or around the site of injection, and this could last from a few minutes to several days. However, true allergic reactions are extremely rare.

However, if you experience throat swelling, pruritic body rash, dangerously low blood pressure, or symptoms associated with anaphylaxis following administration of an injection, call 911 or visit your nearest emergency department. If you know you are allergic to any of the ingredients — please avoid it!

 HOW LONG DOES IT   TAKE?

The whole process will take 30-45 minutes to complete. There are a few forms to complete prior to your infusion as well as a quick medical assessment, if it is your first time. Injection and pushes are a few minutes where premium infusions may take longer depending on dose and tolerance ~ 2-4 hrs.

 DOES IT HURT?

Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, but we strive to stick everyone just once with our experienced staff.  Hydrating prior to appointment can help.

That said, we do offer lidocaine and a numbing spray when available, if you would like!

HOW OFTEN SHOULD   I GET AN IFUSION OR   INJECTION?

The frequency of IV therapy is determined on a patient by patient basis. We take a customized approach to suit your individual needs. For preventative health and wellness, we recommend at least two IV drips per month to help balance out any vitamin deficiencies, but some prefer weekly for maximum benefits.

 WHAT'S A BOOSTER

 AND

 WHAT SHOTS DO YOU

 OFFER?

A booster is a concentrated dose (Shot) of vitamins given intramuscularly, Subcutaneously, or intravenously. Boosters offer a very fast and effective way of repleting your body with essential vitamins.

We have a large variety of shots ranging from hangover relief to shots that can promote healthy skin and hair. We offer Lipostat shots. Lipotropic nutrients are a class of agents that plays an important role in the body’s use of fat. They enhance the liver and gallbladder’s role by decreasing fat deposits and by speeding up the metabolism and removal of fats. The liver is the key organ in the control of body fat. Vitamin B12 is used in the metabolism of fats, proteins and carbohydrates. It is often used to give an energy boost, helping to increase activity levels. See Boosters page for full list - or request a special one.

There are a few conditions that would limit which type of infusion, but can be adjusted based on PCP involvement. Children 16 and older with parents consent and supervision.
